Temporomandibular joint and complications in the dental implant: a systematic review

Introduction: Surgical procedures in the oral cavity and maxillofacial complex are used to remove pathologies infections, restore function, optimize occlusal relationships, prosthetically replace teeth temporomandibular joints. Objective: It was present, through a systematic review, main clinical outcomes of treatment joint scenario dental implants complications. Methods: The review rules PRISMA Platform were followed. search carried out from February May 2023 Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, Scielo, Google Scholar databases, using articles 2018 2023. Results Conclusion: A total 107 found, 37 evaluated 19 included developed this study. Considering Cochrane tool for risk bias, overall assessment resulted 25 studies with high bias 24 that did not meet GRADE. concluded entire gear work efficiently, occlusion, joint, musculature, ligaments, psychological factors must be complete harmony. Clinical have shown associated implant placement, such as long duration surgical procedures, may represent disorders.
